14th Street - Washington, DC
Level 2’s story starts on 14th Street.  We began small with boutique condo developments, and quickly grew to developing larger projects including View 14, Capitol View on 14th Street, and The Harper, which are changing the landscape of the neighborhood, one block at a time.

Our Impact on 14th Street
  • Developed 600 new households and 57,000 square feet of new retail.
  • View 14 and Capitol View on 14th together provide striking, modern architecture as the gateway to the northern section of 14th Street.
  • The Harper complements the historic character of the neighborhood.
  • Removed urban blight of former underutilized site uses including an auto repair shop, used car dealership, antenna tower and satellite dishes, strip shopping centers, and brownfield cleanup of former gas stations.
  • Preserved 48 low-income affordable housing units through a $1 Million equity contribution to Cresthill Apartments.
  • Created over 35 new on-site affordable housing units.
  • Active volunteers and stakeholders in the U Street Neighborhood Association, U Street Movie Series, and Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association.

What makes 14th Street "Home"
  • Epicenter of DC’s hottest restaurant and bar scene, including: Kapnos, Doi Moi, Ted's Bulletin, El Centro D. F., Marvin, and Pearl Dive Oyster Bar.
  • Home to DC’s best jazz clubs, theaters, and concert venues, including: 9:30 Club, U Street Music Hall, Lincoln Theater, Twins Jazz, Source, and Black Cat.
  • Boutique local and independent shopping along 14th and U including: Room and Board, Redeem, Universal Gear, and Lou Lou.
  • Meridian Hill Park – perfect for picnics, runs, dog walks, and drum circles.
  • Fresh, local food on Saturdays at the 14th & U Farmers Market.
  • Gallery hop at MidCity Artists Open Studios.
  • Leave the car at home! U Street Metro, Circulator Bus, Capitol Bikeshare, Zipcar, and Metrobus all in the neighborhood.
  • Distinctive blend of modern and historic architecture.
