Level 2 specializes in the development of mixed-use and multifamily buildings which transform emerging neighborhoods. Level 2 first contributed to the renaissance of DC's 14th Street Corridor with its projects View 14, Capitol View on 14th, and The Harper, which brought 584 apartments and 57,000 square feet of retail to the 14th Street neighborhood. Level 2 helped catalyze the transformation of the Union Market neighborhood through its projects i5 Union Market and The Batley, which brought 750 apartments and 39,000 square feet of retail to the blossoming, formerly industrial enclave. Level 2’s reach expands beyond Washington, with 2 large-scale developments underway in Scott’s Addition, a historic industrial neighborhood of Richmond, VA; and a mixed-use development in Concord, NC, a satellite city of Charlotte, NC with a flourishing historic downtown.
In addition to ground-up development, Level 2 has expertise in revitalizing historic buildings through adaptive reuse. In partnership with Rehab Development of Winston-Salem, NC, Level 2 has transformed 5 historic landmarks into 200+ apartments and over 29,000 square feet of retail. Financed in part by historic tax credits, these projects have contributed to the revitalization of historic downtowns in Concord, Goldsboro, and Monroe, NC; and Danville, VA.
